Tee times are every 8/9 minutes.
All players must wear proper golf attire. Tank tops and shirts without sleeves are not permitted.
Reservations can be reserved for the current day. Tee time priorities are 30 days in advance for the general public and 7 days in advance for season pass holders.
Singles, twosomes and threesomes reservations should expect to pair up with an existing reservation as designated by the golf shop.
Cancellations will be accepted up to 48 hours in advanced. We ask that if you are not able to cancel in this time frame, you let us know as soon as possible as this gives us a better chance to release the unused times to someone else.
All players should check in at the golf shop at least 15 minutes prior to their registered tee time. Failure to register in a timely manner may result in the forfeiture of your position and/or your group’s reserved tee time. All players shall begin on the 1st hole unless instructed otherwise.
Metal or ceramic spikes are prohibited. Players are required to wear shoes equipped with soft spikes or spikeless shoes with a flat sole.
In the spirit of the game of golf, we expect all players to exhibit high standards of personal conduct. We ask that players demonstrate respect for the golf course, fellow players and the game itself by repairing ball marks, replacing divots, raking bunkers and maintaining the proper pace of play.
Pace of Play
It is the player’s/group’s responsibility to maintain the pace of play. Sunset Valley has a 4 hour pace of play or a 9 minute interval with the group in front of you. Any group or individual who fails to keep the pace, may be asked to pick up their ball and move into proper position. If a group refuses to keep up, they may be asked to leave the course (in extreme circumstances).
Due to liability issues, only golfers are permitted on the golf course. Any non-player must be approved and must sign a waiver in the golf shop.
Golf Cart Rules
You must be 16 years of age with a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart. Players should keep the cart on the cart paths and much as possible. Carts are to remain outside the white lines which are located around greens. Only cart(s) with flags (disability) are allowed inside the white lines.
Sunset Valley and the Park District of Highland Park are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property.
Sunset Valley leases out the food concessions at Sunset Valley. Outside food, beverages and coolers are prohibited.
